Hello from my neighborhood cafe. It’s a Summer Friday, and although I wasn’t short on time, I wanted to get out of my apartment quick to run an errand, enjoy an iced latte and create from a third space. Whenever I’m in one of these moods, running out in a semi-hurry, I find myself gravitating towards classic style — a tee (Uniqlo baby tees are my best friends, although my latest Depop usage suggests I’m re-entering my vintage tee era), denim (typically a Levi’s 501, whether new or vintage, and lately this pair has been heavily in my rotation), a loafer which is my favorite type of flat (I am constantly alternating between pennies, link is not my exact pair but something extremely similar, and these tassels. If you want to splurge, which I plan on doing for myself soon, buy these). Lastly are touches of interesting jewelry, which, for the most part I have thrifted or bought when traveling. Jewelry is one of those things that I believe are deeply personal and need to be bought on a whim, not necessarily to be shared — sorry, but I will gate keep mine.
The image is pretty clear, though. It’s classic. Simple. Not doing too much but refined in the same breath. It never misses, which is why it’s perfect for the days when I: a. am in a hurry, b. don’t know what to wear, or c. the outfit concoctions I imagined in my head are not actualizing as something I actually like.

Retail news worth paying attention to.
Raboesy: Perhaps not new for you, but new for me — this footwear brand inspired by effortless, French style carries the most insane assortment of Tabis I’ve seen in the market. I never thought I would be a Tabis girl, but Raboesy is really convincing me otherwise. Currently in my cart are: this classic black leather pair for everyday appeal, this red leather option with gathered details because a red shoe is important and very French, these loafers and also these kitten heels because I don’t think there is such thing as having too many leather thong sandals.
I’m constantly searching for non denim pants that feel put together enough to wear back to a t-shirt. Last Summer, I bought a pair of silk/satin blend pants in black from Reformation which I wore through the Fall and this Summer as well. Right now, though, I want a Taffeta option, preferably something with color to get credit for the fabric. In black, it feels pointless. Perhaps any of these options in my cart will suffice:
Chan Luu — for when I want an interesting waist, adorable back details and in the mood to wear pink pants
Donni — for when I want to wear Salmon instead
Ref — for when I want to look expensive in low rise Chartreuse
